My Visit to Reno

My cousin, who lives in Lehi, was driving down to Reno to throw her girl friend a baby shower and asked me if I wanted a free ride to visit my dad and grandma....uh YES! So the last weekend in February Jetta and I packed up and went down to Reno. Joseph had to stay behind and work. :(   It was such a fun few days. We had my cousin and her two kids, my sister and her two boys from California, and of course Jetta and I. And we all stayed at grandma's house! I got to see my siblings, dad and Stacey, and play spoons all night long. I even got to see my mom and siblings on that side too! It was so much fun. I wish I lived closer so we could see family more often!

Valentine's Day

I absolutely love my husband! He is ALWAYS surprising me. He always has some crazy plan set in motion to make me smile, laugh or scream with excitement!  And valentine’s day was no exception!  Our first v-day together he proposed, and last year he took me to homestead where we swam in the natural hot-springs and had a fancy dinner afterward, and this year….well, here’s the story….

Over two weeks in the making, complete with secret meetings and dress rehearsals, Joseph pulled off another great valentine’s day. Joseph got two other couples involved, so all three of us girls were in for a surprise.  At 3pm the girls were sent to get dressed up together at Larissa’s house, while the boy got things ready at our house. At 5:30 we were told to come on over. We knocked on the door and as it opened we saw all three men in nothing but dress pants and a red bow tie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And on top of that they had their bodies oiled and were poising like male models!!! Hahaha, I couldn’t stop laughing. I was so embarrassed walking into my home with three half dressed men inside! We just kept laughing and had to get our cameras out. But the night did not end there. While in their “outfits” they served as a three course meal complete with candle light and red roses while they serenaded us with their own rendition of My Girl! It was adorable! After dinner we all changed and went up into the canyon and roasted s’mores, followed by a movie and chocolate strawberries (my absolute favorite)!! It was a great day! I love you Joseph!!!
