A little Update
Okay, so I haven't been the best at blogging-but things are going to change! Here is a quick update on what we have been up to...
Joseph and I have officially been married for 5 months today!!! Crazy, how fast the time flies! We are still in love- so no worries there. :) We live in the basement of a house, and we love it. However, it does get pretty cold- but I've learned that layers do wonders (and I even sneak the heat on every now and then). We are both still at BYU and planning on graduating in AUGUST!! I will take my last class in June and walk in August. Joseph will walk with me although he will have two more classes to take in the fall. That is the plan at least for now. After that? Well, currently we are playing with the idea of going to Taiwan to teach English for 6 months. The organization that we will go with pays your way and your stay as well as a salary, so it seems like at good way to spend the 6 months after graduation and before graduate school. We still have to apply and get accepted so it's not set in stone yet, but we are in the process of applying now.
Also, some really good news- Last Monday the 19th Joseph and I became an Uncle and Aunt again. Joesph's sister Shawna had a beautiful little boy named Joel Gavin McEwan. We probably won't get to see him until December, :( but from pictures he sure is a cutie! Speaking of cuties...I have the cutest nieces and nephews ever! Seriously. My sister's son Cameron is the cutest thing in the world and then I married into 7 more cutest in the world nieces and nephews. And little Joel was the first one to be born with me as his official aunt. What a lucky guy. :) So in total I have 9 nieces and nephews! I'm super lucky.
What else? Well, my dad has been working in SLC on a temporary job at the airport, so it's been funny spending time with him. The other night, we all went to Cornbelly's ( a family Halloween carnival thing). It was a blast. We went through a haunted forest where a scary guy with a chain saw turned it on right by my face!! It was pretty scary but we had a good time.
Just last weekend Joe took me out on a fancy date for homecoming. oohhh! We went to an event at BYU for married couples only! Tucano's catered it and entertainment consisted of a singer and a comedy group. I was a lot of fun. I got all dressed up and did my hair and even bought a new pair of red high heels! Sexy- I know!
Well, I think that is good update for now. More will come and hopefully not as a huge overview like this one! Pictures will come- I promise!!!
