Jetta Update

Jetta is now 15 months old!!! I don't understand how that happened. She is sooo much fun. She walks/runs all over the place, loves to wrestle her daddy, dance, and do anything outside! I have been surprised many time with how much she understands. I'll tell her its time for a bath and she'll head up stairs; I'll tell her to get her shoes on and she brings me her shoes (sometimes mine) and sits down in my lap. The other day she was playing with my keys and went over to the door to tried to turn the key on the door knob. She is learning so fast and I'm just trying to keep up! She is also talking a ton. Half the time it is just baby jabber, but here are the words she says so far:

WORD / JETTA PRONUNCIATION
Mom / Mom, mommy,
Dad / Dada
Hi / Hi
Bye / Ba bye (said in a high pitched voice) or bye (in a low deep voice)
Baby /bobby
Ball / Ba
Thank you /tank ou
Pat / Pat (taught her to "pat pat" instead of pinching people)
Shoes / Shees
Eyes / Ice
Outside /oush (she has said the whole word once)
Food / Foo
Phone / Foo
Dog / dough dough
Okay /O-tay
Boo / Boo (while playing peek-a-boo)
More / Moe (also signs more)
Bottle / Ba ba (also signs bottle)
Cheese / cheese (what she says when she sees any camera or video camera)
Poo / I poo ( what she tells you after she...you know...)
Down/ dow

I swear she learns a new word almost every day. Today I told her she was so cute and she said "o coot". It is a lot of fun to watch her grow and learn. She is getting to be quite the handful thought. She knows how to throw a tantrum! We're working on that, but for the most part she is a very happy girl!

Calling all mom's of 2+ kids

Okay...so I should start this off by saying that I am NOT pregnant! But, eventually I would like to have another kid. I'm kind of nervous though. I remember the first time I held Jetta I couldn't believe how perfect and wonderful she was and I said to Joseph "I want a thousand of these!" After about two nights I significantly lowered my number!

I love Jetta so much and it is hard to picture me loving another child just as much. And I worry, what if I don't? Will I always be just a little more attached to Jetta because she was my first? Even if I love both or all of my children equally will there be just something more you have with your first?

And I also wonder if I can handle more than one...yes the practicalities of two verses one, but mostly the emotions that come with it. It was emotionally harder than I thought having Jetta. It took me a long time (8+ months) to figure out who I was, my new role, and reinvent myself with out losing my self identity. It was an emotional roller coaster and I don't want to deal with that all over again. I feel I am doing great now and really loving my life. I do want more children, but I am just seeking advice on how other mothers did it and how they feel.

Feburary 2012

So I've given up the idea that I will catch up my blog, and Im just going to start fresh! So last week Jetta and I flew to Reno, NV to visit her Great Grandma and Grandpa. It was a great week. I learned a lot more about my Grandma and she taught me how to do my family history work. I also got to see my Mom's side of the family for a couple of days.
